The Church and its Symbolism
Creator: David H. Williams, Jr.
Description: Lecture by David H. Williams, Jr speaking about symbolism in the church and in what ways they appear as part of the church architecture or ornamentation and the meanings behind various symbols. He states that most of our interest in old churches is due to their human element, and to the stories they tell through symbolism and that any form of art in the church must be symbolized if it is to convey a spiritual message. The overall message was that the goals of the Christian church should be carried out in the unity of the Christian church as a whole and not by one denomination or one leader but the unification of various churches working together.
