The Angelic Voices have been a vital part of Little Rock Baptist Church’s music department for 44 years. Its members span the generations and represent a cross-section of highly trained soloists and background singers. The choir also sings the praises of its staff and board, headed by Legirtha Jones. They perform at many churches throughout Detroit and the state.

Carole Strong Thompson is a native of Memphis, Tenn., and a graduate of Fisk University. During college, she toured with the renowned Fisk Jubilee Singers, performing at Carnegie Hall, Constitution Hall, the Grand Ole Opry and in Haiti. While living in Minnesota, she performed with Sam Davis and the Gospel Ensemble. Now employed by Chrysler Motors, Mrs. Thompson is a featured soloist with the Second Ebenezer Youth Chorale. Her guiding motto is, “Always put God first in everything you do.”
